I don’t remember a single thing about my mom. After I was born, my dad said she left and didn’t say anything about coming back. I guess raising a child wasn’t ideal for a woman of 19 years old. I can’t say I blame her for leaving, but I sometimes wish she would have taken me with her instead of giving up. My name is Genevieve but I’ve always gone by Gene. My life is pretty glamorous, I won’t lie about that. My house is huge, there are more rooms than we need in it, and the cars my dad likes to keep are far more than ordinary. I’ve got enough clothing to fill two homeless shelters and still have enough for me and the real kicker is that I would be much happier without it all. Our money isn’t legal by any means. My father deals drugs. And not pot for all the little 13 year olds. He deals hard drugs. Heroine, cocaine, ecstasy, acid. His supply seems to be endless and its been keeping us afloat in the wealthy lifestyle that my father has created. Needless to say I didn’t have to rely on my grades to get in this school. Inside, I’m a wreck. I don’t sleep most nights and I stay up worrying that someone is going to come kidnap me or kill me. I guess that’s why I’m really pretty outgoing. I like to have fun and go out. I think it gets my mind off most things. There’s a lot you won’t know about me though. I keep my business to myself and I prefer it that way, most of the time. When I graduate, I’m getting as far away as I can from anything that was holding my back before.
